LSU had been in the process of recruiting Former New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Zxavian Harris and former Cleveland Browns tight end Dae'Quan Wright, causing controversy in the college football and pro-football worlds. The SEC's vote would require 11 members of the SEC to vote in favor of kicking LSU out of the league.
